LOCAL WICHITA PASTOR  INVITED TO PARTICIPATE

(ONE OF THE 40 TO ASK A QUESTION)
Pastor Mark Holick of Spirit One Christian Center, Wichita, Kansas, has been invited to participate and ask a question at the Values Voter Presidential Debate, next Monday, September 17th, 2007, at 6:30 p.m. Central time.

"It is a tremendous honor to invited to participate," said Pastor Holick, "This is an historic event in our republic.  Where Christian leaders from across the nation will be asking questions that relate specifically to morals, teachings, and righteousness of the Bible."

Pastor Mark's question will be relating to the 501(c)(3) IRS gag rule used to intimidate Pastor's, Churches, and Ministries.  "Hello, my name is Pastor Mark Holick from Wichita, Kansas.  I and my church are currently under investigation by the IRS for "political involvement" due to my identifying politicians who support the destruction of innocent unborn children.  If you were elected President, would you remove the gag rule from pastors like me and support a repeal of the portion of IRS Code Section 501(c)(3) that restricts churches and ministries from expressing our Biblical convictions for or against a candidate?"

In addition, one of the questions will come from a young lady who was aborted at 7 months old, and lived, and is now 18 yrs. old.  Though challenged today by the terrorism at the abortionist hands, she is today a beautiful testimony to the value of all innocent life.

P.S. please don't tell the IRS I  participated!

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – WND Editor Joseph Farah has been chosen to moderate a Republican presidential debate here the night of Sept 17.

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., is the scene of the Values Voter Republican Presidential Debate Sept. 17, 2007. WND Editor Joseph Farah is the event's moderator.

The "Values Voter Presidential Debate," is being produced by ValuesVoter.org, a group which says on its website "Our American values are the values that existed before time and were articulated in America's founding document on her birthday, the 4th of July, 1776."

Regarding the selection of WND's Farah, debate organizer Janet Folger said, "As long as I can remember I've been hearing complaints about the liberal media. I've heard about their power and undue influence. For too long the pundits have made their proclamations and people have fallen into lock step. But, not anymore."

Looking forward to the event, Farah said, "So often in presidential debates, questions are asked and answers don't address the questions. When that happens, I'm going to try to persuade the candidates to focus more precisely on what was asked."

Questions will also come from 40 of America's leaders including: Paul Weyrich, founder and president of the Free Congress Foundation; Phyllis Schlafly, founder and president of Eagle Forum; Don Wildmon, founder and chairman of the American Family Association; Judge Roy Moore, a WND columnist with the Foundation for Moral Law; Rick Scarborough of Vision America; and Mat Staver of Liberty Council.

In addition, the group is soliciting questions in advance from the public. It has an e-mail address where they can be sent directly.

"We've heard the questions from talking snowmen. We've gotten the crumbs that fell from Chris Matthews' table. Now it's our turn," says the debate's website. "So, quit shaking your fist at the TV and send in the questions that you want answered!"

The event is slated for Monday night, Sept. 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. While another date had been planned for the Democratic candidates, they all declined.

Republicans participating include Duncan Hunter, Mike Huckabee, Tom Tancredo, Sam Brownback, Ron Paul and John Cox. Organizers said others, including Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, John McCain and Fred Thompson, all declined.
